Key Programming via OBD
General Instructions
- PIN-code is required for programming the key but most devices can read the PIN-code from BSI.
- For unlocking the system when PIN has been entered incorrectly three times: IGN ON for 15 mins and IGN OFF for 5 minutes.
- Error 10 BSI locked: Turn ignition and radio ON, possible MODE ECO on the screen, wait until beep and program key.
- There are two types of freguency modulations in remote keys, ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying) and FSK (Frequency Shift Keying). As a guideline, FSK has been in use since 2009.
- There are two key models. CE0523 model has battery attached to the PCB, while in CE0536 model the battery is at the bottom of the key shell.
- Number of buttons does not affect programming but model and frequency modulation must be correct.
Remote Synchronizing
This process re-synchronizes a remote that has already been programmed to the vehicle but has lost communication (e.g., after battery replacement). 1) Insert the working key into the ignition. 2) Turn the ignition ON (so the dashboard lights come on), but do not start the engine. 3) Press and hold the LOCK button on the remote for about 5–10 seconds. 4) Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key. 5) Wait about 30 seconds, then test the remote buttons (LOCK / UNLOCK).

Decoding Tips
- HU83 lock wafers are 1 up 1 down
- Most locks has 7 spaces and 4 depths. When using Lishi tool with 8 spaces leave number 1 empty.
- The same cuts on both sides of the key.
- To decode the lock read in the SAME direction as it was picked.
- Picking rule: if the wafer moves at all leave it alone.

Repair Instructions
- Key has an integrated immobilizer chip.
- It might be necessary to synchronize or reprogram the key after replacing the battery.
- To choose the right key shell, check if the battery is on the circuit board (CE0523) or at the bottom of the key shell(CE0536).
- The original key blade does not always fit into a aftermarket key shell.
